Our opening hours are as follows:

  3. How do I go about ordering a stone fireplace/kitchen worktop?

The first step is to broadly decide upon a colour for your fireplace/kitchen worktop, that will enable us to provide you with a quotation.

Step two is to call, email or fax us your requirements with approximate dimensions; or your kitchen plan.  We can then discuss this with you and prepare a quotation to meet your needs.  Better still, call in and see us for one to one personal service and see the materials at the same time.

  4. What is the recommended thickness for stone?
For Granite worktops, fireplaces and vanity tops we recommend 30mm thickness.

For Quartz worktops, 30mm thick or 20mm thick is suitable.

Other materials are available in various thicknesses to suit particular requirements, and we would be pleased to discuss these with you.

  5. How long do I have to wait for my worktops/fireplace to be manufactured?
Our manufacturing periods are generally 5 to 7 working days from our templating date(or from receipt of your templates/information)

  6. Do you have a template/installation service?
We are able to provide a full template/installation service for all items. However, we do not provide or install gas or electric fires, their accessories, or kitchen cupboards and vanity unit cupboards.

You will also need to arrange the supply and connection of any plumbing, gas or electrical accessories.

  7. What do I need to prepare before my kitchen is ready for the installation of granite worktops?

You must ensure that your kitchen units are correctly and firmly fixed in place inaccordance with the manufacturers instructions, with all sink units, taps, hob units etc. on site. Any temporary or existing work surfaces must be removed and the units checked for level. Any existing tile splashbacks may need to be removed prior to installation of the new worktop.

If your sink is an undermount type you may need to provide a suitable plywood sub-top to the cupboard, in to which the sink will fit.  We can discuss this with you.

  8. Do you seal/treat the surfaces?
All of our natural products are sealed with Lithofin MN Stainstop.

All of our Quartz products are supplied from the factory stain resistant.

  9. Do you provide samples?

Samples can be provided on request.  However, most granites are best viewed as slab in our yard, to give a full and true effect.

  10. What if the material I require is not in your sample range?
The materials we currently hold in stock represent the more popular types utilised in the domestic market out of the many hundreds of different materials that are available from around the world.  However, we can supply most granites or quartz types to order.

  11. What edge profiles can I specify for my worktops?
Generally we recommend Pencil Round Polished Edges. Champfered Edges can be formed if specifically required.  Full Bullnosed or Half Bullnosed can be provided, as also Moulded.
